My favourite sweet bread! Originally from Friesland, I have always wanted to be able to make it myself, but take it from me, it's not worth all the effort of working out just what sugar to use and the exact mix of spices. Yes it is that difficult, and yes it is really that delicious! When we are in Holland we will drive home via Lemmer in Friesland just to buy several loaves and take it back to England. Buying it online is such much easier.... (but not as much fun!)
