Vandaag hoorde ik van mijn collega Iepie van der Meulen het vervolgverhaal van mijn oude buurjongen Bert Hofstra, die nu Bert Chan heet. Ik heb met open oren en ogen zitten te luisteren naar dit verhaal. Mijn Zeeland buurjongen die een moeder en broer in Amsterdam bleek te hebben. Ik weet niet of jij die Bert bent, maar als dat wel zo is dan ben ik zo blij voor je dat je je familie hebt gevonden en niet een weeskind uit Zeeland bent. Ik hoop dat het goed met je gaat en dat je gelukkig bent geworden want dat heb je verdiend. Met de vriendelijke groeten van je buurmeisje Riekje, je weet wel van de kapper op de Brouwerswal in Gorredijk.
