Dutch Expat Shop is known for its most complete offers. We offer products at sharp prices, exceptionally competitive deals and even low shipping tariffs anywhere in the world. We can offer you these low shipping tariffs thanks to very sharp tariff agreements with PostNL, DHL, FedEx and DPD, due to the large amount of packages we ship on a yearly basis.

Due to rising costs and surcharges at our logistics partners, we were forced to make adjustments to our shipping costs. We charge the actual shipping costs and our calculator in the shopping cart calculates this based on the set matrix. We are convinced that our rates are still very competitive and are hard to find cheaper!

Shipping costs and delivery time

We ship all of our packages worldwide through PostNL, DHL, FedEx, DPD. The shipping costs depend on the total weight of the package and the country of destination. The weights shown with the products on our website/calculator are based on the total weight of a product, including packaging materials.

To make it easier and clearer for you, Dutch Expat Shop uses seven different weight categories. As a result, shipping costs are divided into packages of 2 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg, 15 kg, 20 kg, 25 kg and 30 kg, which is also the maximum weight of a package. If you order more than 30 kg, an additional package will be added to your shipment. If you have extra space available in your package, we advise you to combine your order with those of other people living nearby. That way, you will optimally benefit from the various shipping discounts Dutch Expat Shop has to offer.

As soon as your payment has been confirmed by Dutch Expat Shop, your order will be processed. We strive to have your order ready for shipment and delivered to PostNL, DHL, FedEx, BPost and DPD within three (3) business days. If, due to outside circumstances, we are unable to ship your package within three (3) business days, we will contact you by e-mail.

For most of the shipments within the European Union (EU) and outside the EU, you will find an indication of the shipping costs in the calculator and the delivery time in business days (excluding holidays)

The indicated delivery time does not include the three (3) business days processing time needed to effectively ship your order through PostNL, FedEx, DHL, BPost or DPD. However, the delivery time is merely an indication, not a guarantee. It is possible that a package is unexpectedly delayed by, for example, PostNL or other postal services. Dutch Expat Shop does not have any influence on or control over these circumstances.

Packages shipped within the EU are automatically insured for a value of up to € 500 (products and shipping costs combined and packages shipped outside the EU are automatically insured for a value of up to € 200). If your order exceeds a value of € 200, we advise you to divide your products over two or more packages.

Customs

There is always the possibility that, upon arrival in the country of destination (outside the EU), your package is subjected to VAT and/or import taxes. Any resulting costs are for the Customer. Unfortunately, Dutch Expat Shop does not have any control over or influence on customs charges. Import regulations are different for most countries and are subject to constant change. It is your own responsibility to enquire with your local customs or tax office about the possibilities and which product can be imported and which not, before ordering with Dutch Expat Shop.

Track & Trace

Thanks to Track & Trace, it is possible to check the shipping status of your package at any moment and from anywhere in the world using the internet. Every package is shipped with a Track & Trace number, allowing you to precisely follow where the package is at any given moment and where it will be shipped to next. By clicking this link, you will go directly to the Track & Trace website, where you can enter the barcode number of your shipment. We will send you your barcode number via e-mail as soon as we ship the package.
